Defying The Conventional Sciences of Wood

Stabilization and Performance

The Lumber Industry Faces Many Challenges

with weather conditions and seasonal changes throughout the supply chain. WoodLock Industries has conducted years of private research to solve problems such as end checking, warping, and twisting, as well as inconsistent moisture balance throughout green or kiln-dried lumber.

Our range of formulas has been scientifically proven and third-party verified to stabilize dimensional lumber and mitigate the negative effects of inconsistent drying and climatization in process, transport, and storage.

The Science

Redacted was retained to perform hardness and drying tests on samples of green Douglas-fir lumber treated with a fiber bonding agent. Two types of tests were performed on test specimens of green Douglas-fir nominal 2×4 lumber. All test specimens were, more or less, end-matched and fabricated by WoodLock Industries, LLC in Las Vegas. Six test specimens were fabricated for each test with 3 of those being treated with the fiber bonding agent and the other 3 controls were not treated.
